Why this exists
I made every mistake so you don't have to
"I sat on the sidelines for years because nobody made investing feel accessible. And when I finally started — I got it so wrong before I got it right. That's why I created Buddy Investor: to be the buddy I never had, and to share everything I wish someone had taught me."
If investing feels like a world that wasn't built for you — I get it, because I definitely felt it wasn't built for me either. Nobody around me talked about it and every resource was drowning in jargon or assumed I already knew these things. I had no one to ask my "stupid questions" to. So I did what you're maybe doing right now: I put it off. Work was exhausting, schedule was full, and "later" always felt safer.
When I finally jumped in, I did it blindly — no handrails, no guidance... and paid the tuition for it. I chased hype. Bought things I didn't understand. Let fear and FOMO make my decisions for me. Every mistake you're afraid of making? I've probably already made it, learned from it, and now know exactly how to avoid it. That's not the end nor the embarrassing part of my story — it's only the pre-chorus.
Because here's the chorus: I didn't quit. I went back in the harder, smarter way — no money down until I'd built a real foundation. No hype, no emotions. Just facts, figures, and proof. And since I was "not a finance person", I needed to self-translate everything into simple terms, figuring it all out with LOTS of analogies. Somewhere along the way, I'd built the thing I could never find but needed so badly: investing that actually makes sense for people like me.
That's Buddy Investor. Not a guru. Not a finance bro. Just the buddy I wish I had — walking beside you so you don't have to figure all of this out alone.
